For the 800th year anniversary of the City of Ansbach the german Theatergroup "Spiel.Werk" (Director Daniela Aue & Andrea Greul) with the acrobat, actor and pantomime Lukas Aue, Dancer Dominic Braunersreuther and Dancer Elisabeth Goeppner as well as the Dance Company "e-Motion" (Jessica Trenner, Amelie Hörauf, Aileen Körner, Juliane Ott, Paula Singer) created a unique piece to the music of componist Stefan Kammerer. The music has been specifically composed for "This is my City" with a special twist: the notes for the main-theme are built out of the City's Name: 'ANSBACH'.
The production shows collage-like snapshots out of the lives of citizens of Ansbach. The audience will be walked through the City by the artists and experience different pieces at different places that include actrobatics, live music, juggling, dance, theater and more right in the heart of Ansbach.

To develop the Production citizens of Ansbach have been interviewed to discuss questions such as the importance of Theater in each persons life, the uniqueness of every single individual that form the city as a whole, the meaning of "Phantasy" and much more.
The Group created a unique piece that is inspired by those answers. The interviews are available on demand on all show-days at the main location (Museumshof - open air) and the following week (September 27th to October 3rd 2021) at the "Stadthaus, Ansbach" free for the public. We reccomend to watch the interviews to gain a deeper understanding of the context prior or after the show.
